The Carrom Company began in 1889 when Henry Haskell, a Sunday School teacher, set out to design and build wholesome games intended to keep young boys from wasting their days. Carrom is tremendously proud of their status as an American classic. During WWII Carrom Industries manufactured foldable tables that displayed maps for the military while in the field. Carrom is a fabulous game for young and old. This product, however, is a pathetic relative of the original, all wood boards and carroms. It certainly wasn't worth the [$]I paid and it falls apart every time we use it, despite repeated joint gluing and being careful. The plastic carroms are cheap copies even of the earlier plastic carroms that followed the wooden ones. I also tried to buy additional carroms to replace ones we lost on our old game, but they weren't offered anywhere on the websites. I want a refund.
